Cinderella

-The ballet's music: The music of these magic and beautiful ballet was created by Serguei Prokófiev while he was in Moscow. He was thinking about Galina Ulànova because of her cualities as a ballet dancer. Serguei really likes the this type of tales and the Russian ballet tradition. He was thinking about a girl with lots of feelings with this ballet. He created three leitmotiv to show the feelings of the main character. They show different types of feelings like sadness, dreamer and happy. There are lots of complicated parts in the partiture and there are a lot of different tempos.

-The most important ballet performers: The most important was Pierina Legnani because of her perfect performance and all the fouettés (32!). There are more like: Olga Lepeixínskaia, Natalia Dudínskaia, Moira Shearer, Margot Fonteyn, Darcey Bassel and Alessandra Ferri. These last three ballet dancers are from the Royal Ballet of London. Carla Fracci, Anna Razzi, Luciana Sevignano, Sylvie Guille, Paola Cantalupo and Bernice Coppieters,

-The technique: In this ballet appear lots of pas de deux. In there, you can see développés, piqués, pas de chats, pas de valses, or some walks in lace all the moment. That's really hard and you have to practice a lot. The scene about the carriage is really wonderful. The different movements are romantic and sweet. It's a magic tale.

-The ballet's dresses: There are different types of dresses depending on the style of the ballet because in the classic ballet dancers dance with some very ornate tutus and in the contemporany style there are som dresses made of synthetic fibers. At the first and the third act the main character wears a dress in different types of dark colours to show how poor is she. At the second act Cinderella wears a beautiful tutu with lots of complements and a crown. She looks impressive in this moment. They show the scene of the cristal shoe, too. It's a fantastic ballet.
