Bolero

-The ballet's music: It was created by Maurice Ravel. He decided to create a completely new composition. He was thinking about some notes while he was visiting the Pirinees to remember the Basque origin of his mother. He works fast. Finally, when he finished it he created a play which it has a uniform and moderate rythim and then it was introduced with a crescendo and all was incredible.

-The most important dancer performers: The main part of Bolero is a table where the dancers dance on it. For example these dancers in all the history are: Ida Rubinstein- Anatole Vilzak, Anton Dolin and Serge Lifar, Attilia Radice- Ugo Dell' Ara, Luciana Novaro, Anna Razzi and Elettra Morfini. Diuxka Sifnios, Luciana Savignano and Sylvie Guillem.

-The technique: There are some "Spanish" movements with the arms and the heels. The style is free in some variations because of every specific choreography of each choregrapher. The only thing that follows the academic technique with more precision is the Bolero of Béjart. A part of this technique is a plié with a forth position. This can be the introduction of a lot of movements and special balances and movements with the arms and more agressive every time. When the rythim is more accelerated, the performer start to dance more delivery including an attitude or a big développé to put your leg up. Ther are some positions that consist in a cercle shape composed by boys that observe tha ballerina that dances over the table.

-The dresses: Dancers perform this dance barefoot. The boys play bare with black tights. The main character wears black tights and a very flesh colored maillot scoop. Sometimes, a lot of ballet dancers wear the hair collected with a low cue.
